2019 RhPAP Rhapsody Awards – Nominate your health-care hero!

Posted Jan 16, 2019

  • Has a physician in your rural Alberta community gone above and beyond in providing care?
  • Has your rural community excelled at attracting and retaining health care professionals?
  • Has an individual, or team consistently delivered care that’s a cut above?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, consider nominating that individual or team for a 2019 RhPAP Rhapsody Award!

The Rhapsody Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate those individuals, teams, and communities in rural Alberta that have made significant civic and health-care contributions in rural and remote Alberta communities.

The Rural Health Professions Action Plan (RhPAP) is inviting rural Albertans to nominate their healthcare-care heroes in one of three categories:

Rural Alberta Physician of Distinction
Founded in 2002, this Rhapsody Award recognizes the contributions of rural physicians, especially those “unsung heroes,” who provide Alberta rural communities with outstanding patient care and make notable contributions to medical practice and to their communities.

Rural Alberta Community Health Professional Attraction and Retention
Founded in 2007, this Rhapsody Award recognizes a rural Alberta community that has developed innovative and collaborative approaches to successfully attract and retain health-care professional(s) in their area.

Rural Alberta Health-care Heroes (Individual or Team)
New in 2018, these Rhapsody Awards recognize rural Alberta health professionals or teams that demonstrate superior commitment to their patients, health-care team, and community.
