The HQCA is conducting surveys and in-depth interviews to gather information from residents and their family members about their experiences living in continuing care sites (including designated supportive living and long-term care) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This work is being done in partnership with Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services.
Working to inform improvements
The information gathered during this work will be used to better understand what has worked well and what could be improved in continuing care during Alberta’s pandemic response.
The HQCA will produce a publicly available provincial report in winter of 2020 that provides the survey results and key findings from the interviews. This report can be used to inform priorities and improvements in continuing care in the months ahead.
Resident experience survey
Residents who live in a designated supportive living or long-term care site are invited to participate in this survey about their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
