The HQCA has been recognized as one of the contributors to the Canadian Pharmaceutical Bar-coding Project by the U.S.-based TerraPharma Project. This peer-to-peer patient safety advocacy organization that promotes bedside point-of-care technology applications acknowledged the efforts of several Canadian organizations, including the HQCA, by naming them as participants in the 2010 Way-Paver for Bar-Code Point of Care Award. The HQCA, through the Blueprint Project, is co-sponsoring a new certificate course on patient safety at the University of Calgary. The course runs September 2010 to March 2011. Click here for more information.
